One Month Appointment, Newborn Clothes, and Hadley's Visit
Yesterday we had Olivia's one month doctor's visit. We were supposed to go last week but the bad weather forced us to postpone. The doctor was so pleased with her progress. She is now 6.5 pounds and 19 1/4 inches long! The doctor seemed surprised at how strong she is. When he unwrapped her from her blanket for her exam she woke up hungry and screamed and screamed. I was afraid that was going to happen since she's been on a kick where she eats every two hours and it fell right during her appointment. She even tried to squirm her way off the table. I came prepared with a bottle for her and as soon as the doctor finished and Glenn put it in her mouth she was completely happy. She's doing so well that we don't have to go back for 4 weeks instead of two!
For her visit we put her in newborn-sized clothes. They are a little big still, but her preemie things are starting to get a bit tight. We have lots of adorable newborn clothes so I'm sure I'll be taking lots of pictures! I put her in what is probably my favorite outfit (although it's hard to choose). In case you can't read it, the shirt says "Whooo's the cutest?" I love it. It's the first time she's worn pants too!
A few days ago Lindsey and Hadley came to visit. Hadley nicely includes Olivia when she asks to come, but really she wants to see Piper. She is crazy about Piper and I'm not exactly sure why. She told me I should bring Piper to Christmas because she thought people would like it when Piper licked them. Right... Hadley fed Piper popcorn while getting her to sit and even played hide and seek with her to help wear her out some. She even took the time to wash up and hold Olivia for a few minutes.
